Accordingly, the Centre has developed the following policy to ensure protection of the health and safety of those who shop and work at and Currambine Central.
Smoking is prohibited by all persons within 5 metres of any centre or store entrance and includes all awning areas around the centre as well as:
• Cafes seating areas
• Internal air-locks
• Outdoor seating areas
• Retailer shops
• Service passages and fire corridors
• Amenities blocks
• All internal/closed areas of the centre
The Currambine Central Smoke Free Policy must be adhered to at all times. Exceptions will not be granted.
In September 2021, 30 local Currambine kids came together to learn about the importance of not smoking, and make some art inspired by the nature we see around us.
This artwork was then brought together to make three nature inspired patterns to use on the Centre’s new non- smoking artwork. Currambine locals then voted on their favorite, and the result will be installed at Centre entrances in 2022.
Make Smoking History was established in 2000 with the goal to reduce smoking in Western Australia.
Healthway fund sport, arts, community activities, health promotion projects and research to inspire Western Australians, especially young people, to live healthier lives.
Smoking is not allowed within 5 metres of a public entrance to an enclosed public place and within 10 metres of air conditioning intakes.
